Hello creative people! Welcome back to another interesting blog by Cre8iveSkill. Today we will be discussing the ‘ways to improve embroidery digitizing quality’. So now let’s dive into the world of embroidery digitizing let’s get started.
So to improve the quality of embroidery digitizing, we will be sharing some useful tips and techniques by which embroidery digitizers can improve the quality of embroidery designs.
Various aspects are combined together to give us a good quality of design on embroidered products. We will be discussing them one by one here.
1. Firstly, make sure that you use the right stitch density. The stitch density refers to the number of stitches per area. If you wish to have good quality then avoid using the already present pre-set values present in the software. As if you do this it will have an impact on the comfort of the person wearing it. Instead adjust your stitch count according to different fabric needs as different fabrics have different stitch count requirements. The standard stitch density value is between 0.4 to 0.5.For example, the technique used to digitize a round cap pattern which has a circular and 3D nature, will be different from the one used to digitize a flat garment like a shirt which on being flat will have 1D orientation. You should be more considerate for stitch count when you are digitizing for embroidery designs.
2. Ensure that you have a clean text for digitizing. As a smallest glitch in the text can ruin the whole look of your design, and to avoid this mishap, getting your lettering right is necessary.
3. To add depth in embroidered designs, use layering technique. In this technique only digitize for the background elements present in the plane. This will help you in creating a comprehensive 3D design and also assist in layering the front details. In this way the layering makes a significant addition in the design by giving it a new dimension.
4. Select and adjust the stitch angles: The stitch angles and directions are not the same throughout the design and are adjusted to make up for the pull and push. Despite the digitizing programs filling up the zones of sewing at particular angles, these angles and directions have to be changed as per the curves and lines of design, as if you don’t change these angles then it will give a one dimensional look to your design, giving it a flattening effect as a result.
